Where is Mark now?

Publisher of the Overland Journal, Scott Brady, wears his Mountain Khakis Alpine Utility Pant as he heads to the southern most point of North America, Punta Mariato. Scott has "worn Mountain Khakis in some of the most difficult conditions of the world." He is a real fan!

"After not being in our creek boats for about 3 months, we weren't really in prime creeking condition. Therefore, my Dad said OBJ was out of the question, but instead we took a few steps down and decided on the Upper East River. The UER is a mile low class IV run and was really easy with Clay leading the way down. We did two laps and didn't stop at all on our second run, which was over in about 5 minutes! It was a lot more fun just bombing down and having to remember the lines. The Upper East was definitely fun, but I can't wait for OBJ next year! Thank you so much Clay for the great day on the river!"

MK supported one of our many loyal dealers, Massey’s Outfitters, at a recent Gear Swap.
“The annual Massey's Gear Swap was a great success. There was a great turn out over the week of the event. Many customers brought in their old "slightly used" gear in hopes of buying new gear.
The items that were brought in ranged from kayaks to sunglasses. From backpacks to crampons; all of which, sold very fast. Massey's is considering having a semi-annual gear swap. Or even a section of the store designated to just customers consignment items. Stay tuned for more in to come.

What a busy summer full of kayaking! I arrived home last Wednesday and now only have couple of weeks before I am off to compete in Europe. My summer series in North America turned out very successful and full of amazing adventures from cars breaking down to rain for a week straight in Minden, ON! After FIBark and Age group Nationals, I headed to Canada to the Canadian Series races and other fun rivers. The trip included amazing slalom, freestyle and a sick 60ft waterfall! I had a great chance to act as MK Ambassador as my prize for winning freestyle was a pair of MK’s. I was able to hand the card to a very deserving race organizer! I placed well in several events and had the tightest competition I have ever encountered. It was a great Series, and I cannot wait until next year! Now I am preparing for racing in Europe at the European Teen Cup in Tacen, Slovenia and other races throughout Germany and Czech Republic! It will be an amazing three week trip, I can’t wait! Go MK!
